"To Kill A Mocking Bird" is an old classic, that is so fresh and modern. This book is written by Harper Lee. It was first published in 1960. And it became both an instant bestseller and a critical success when it was published. This book even wins the Pulitzer prize in 1961. A film was also made based on this story which wines Academy Award.

The story in the book "To Kill A mocking Bird" is taking place in Alabama in the United State where a blacked skinned man, Tom Robinson is wrongly accused of rape which he did not actually do. Allin Finch a white-skinned man, who is a middle-aged lawyer agrees to defend Tom Robinson to the best of his ability.

The story in this book is narrated by a six-year-old girl, Jean Louise Finch. Her nickname is Scout, she is the daughter of the lawyer Atticus Finch. As Scout is a child, her word is not burdened with any biases or unfavorable opinions. And due to this, her views are considered as real. She described what she saw as it happened. This way the lawyer saved Tom Robinson.

"To kill A Mocking Bird" is a story that is taking place in a time where hatred and intolerance of another race was the way of life in Unite State. This book takes the readers to the root of human behavior. The story implies that every human should be treated with dignity, no matter what is the color of the skin is.
