Allin Finch a white-skinned man, who is a middle-aged lawyer agrees to defend Tom Robinson to the best of his ability.

The story in this book is narrated by a six-year-old girl, Jean Louise Finch. Her nickname is Scout, she is the daughter of the lawyer Atticus Finch. As Scout is a child, her word is not burdened with any biases or unfavorable opinions. And due to this, her views are considered as real. She described what she saw as it happened. This way the lawyer saved Tom Robinson.
