"REVOLUTION Twenty 20: LOVE, CORRUPTION, AMBITION" is a novel by CHETAN BHAGAT published in 2011. It is the story of love triangles, corruption, and a journey of self-discovery. The novel addresses the issue of how private coaching academy exploits striving Engineerings students. And how their guardians spend their life savings on these coaching classes. So that their children can crack the engineering entrance examinations. Whereas only a few can fulfill their dreams and rest sinks into failure.

The author says that this is a love story based on rampant corruption in the education system of India. As a result of which millions of people suffer in the country. The story in the novel is based in Varanashi because to author Varanasi is the oldest city and people here have a strong desire to achieve an ambition. The novel says the story of two friends who differs by ambition and passion but equal for their love for a single girl.

Whereas Gopal has an unpleasant experience of being poor and had a strong desire to become rich. And Raghav belongs to a well-off family who wishes to create a revolution by fighting corruption in India. Arti and Gopal was a childhood friend but their love relationship was platonic. Gopal gets low in AIEEE whereas Raghav was among he topper in the town.

Gopal moved to Kota to study in a reputed coaching class to get a good ranking. Raghav became very popular after he cracked the entrance exam and during Gopal's absence, Aarti fell in love with Raghav. Aarti revels these to Gopal while chatting online, which leads to heartbroken for Gopal. He studies hard but again ranks lower for the second time. His father dies shortly after this.

Raghav decides to become a journalist and starts working in a newspaper publishing house. Meanwhile, a politician who wishes to build an engineering college comes to Gopal. He wants a high-value land that belongs to Gopal`s family to build the college.

Gopal agreed to the deals and join the corruption system of India. Raghav as a journalist exposed the corruption in building the college and was fired from the newspaper house. Raghav then opened his own newspaper house "REVOLUTION Twenty 20 to change the world and fight against corruption in India. But after another exposed "REVOLUTION Twenty 20 was forcefully shut down by the politicians and thugs.

Raghav is still passionate about his activism and forgets Aarti and they are still unmarried. Aarti and Gopal now meet very often and this was unknown to Raghav. Aarti fell in love with Gopal and begins to cheat Raghav. Now Gopal decides to disclose their relationship to Raghav.

When Gopal went to Raghav's office a chance came out when a poor farmer with his kids came to Raghav asking for help. This incident shook Gopal and he realizes the folly of money, power, and wealth. He decides to let Aarti go with Raghav.

He helped Raghav to get back his job and suggest him to join politics to bring the revolution he wants. Aarti and Raghav got married thereafter. Gopal is now a rich and successful businessman but he is still heartbroken at Aarti. Though he sacrifices to bring the revolution, he still doubts whether he is a good man or not.
