Sadhguru.

"Sadhguru" is an Indian Yogi and author. He was born as Jaggi Vasudev on 3rd September 1957 in Mysore, Karnataka India in a Telegu speaking family. His mother was a homemaker and father was an ophthalmologist in Indian Railway.  He did his schooling from Demonstration School Mysore and Mahajana Pre University College. Then he graduates from the University of Mysore with a bachelor's degree in English in the year 1973. After graduation, he refused to pursue post-graduation course and started a business.

At the age of 25, he went to Chamundi Hills where he sat on a rock, and here he had a spiritual experience. Six weeks later he left his business to his friend and traveled to gain insight into his mystical experience.

After one year of travel and meditation, he decided to teach yoga to share his inner experience. In the year 1983, he conducted the first yoga class in his home town Mysore with only seven participants. After this, he began conducting yoga classes regularly all over Karnataka and Hydrabad traveling on his motorcycle.

In the year 1992, Jaggi Vasudev established the Isha Foundation. This is a nonprofit, spiritual organization situated near Coimbatore in India. This organization host Isha Yoga Center, which offers a yoga program under the name of Isha Yoga. The initiatives have been awarded Rashtriya Khel Protsahan Puraskar. Isha Foundation has also been involved in various other activities in the field of spirituality education and the environment.

In 2017, Jaggi Vasudev was awarded Padma Vibhushan by the Govt Of India for his services in the field of social service.

As a public speaker.

As a public speaker, Vasudev has been invited to speak in many prestigious forums and conferences across the world. He has been invited to The United Nation`s Millennium World Pease Summit, The House Of Lords, The Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and The International Institute of Management Development. He had also spoken at the World Economic Forum in 2007, 2017, and 2020.
