VEDA is really smart, and she excels at all her work and studies. She has aspirations of becoming a college lecturer when she grows up. However, Veda's dreams and aspirations are cut off when her family arranges for her to get married to Bhuvan. He lives with his family in Pune. She still hopes that she can continue her studies even after she gets married to Bhuvan. But once the marriage happens and she moves to Pune, she realizes that all hopes that she had for continuing her dreams comes true are all diminished. Because of the lack of moral support that her mother in law and her family gives her. VEDA is seen as this shy and timid girl, who always follows the rules and orders that others put upon her. However, one day she sees the opportunity to get out of her now meaningless life, and so will she break the rules and take the step forward and go after what she really wants. 

The actual highlights of the story are about "SANKALP" a school for underprivileged children. The story tells how Veda's life changed when she comes to know about "SANKALP". The Story is about the new friends she makes at this school and what she learns from them. How it helped he makes herself strong and makes her speak her heart boldly.
